Our Story...

Big League Youth Baseball Academy was founded in 2008 by owner and former professional baseball player, Rod Allen Jr.   Coach Rod wanted to provide baseball training to the youth in and around his hometown of Culver City at a higher but more accessible level than what was currently being offered by local club teams.  Believing that every kid deserves a chance to play the greatest game on earth, and that consistent one on one training with inside knowledge of the game will yield results, Coach Rod is dedicated to nurturing the talent in all of your young athletes, no matter their skill level.  Over the years, the Academy has grown dramatically, along with the success and achievements of many of Coach Rod's talented young players.  Several of his long time clients have gone on to play for varsity high school teams as Freshmen and some have even aged out of his program to play at the collegiate level.

In 2012 we added softball training to our program.  All of our softball coaches are former or current collegiate players and because of our staff's dedication, knowledge, and their own love of the game, both our baseball and softball training programs have become well renowned in West LA and beyond.  We're proud to be a Non-Profit Organization, giving back to the community we love by providing accessible camps and sports training to our local young athletes all year long!
